You are already set! You do not need to do anything to “get sexy” for your shoot! But here are a few things I recommend:
Come As You Are
Personality wise, and Physically! This is a safe space with no judgement. I want your personality to shine as well as your beautiful body. Many clients say “I don’t have the body for a session.” *insert wrong buzzer sound here for dramatic effects* You are wrong! If you have a body, you have a boudoir body. You also do not have to wear lingerie if it’s not you, there are other options such as boy shorts and tanks, off the shoulder sweaters and long socks, plus you have full guidance from me to help create your beautiful story in what makes you feel confident and beautiful with our wardrobe and styling consult.
Bring your smile
I’ve heard people say they were told to not smile during a boudoir session! I call BULLSHIT! Your smile is sexy, being happy is sexy, being YOU is sexy, being natural is sexy! Don’t listen to the bullshit. I focus on bringing out all the beautiful emotions that make us all unique, that makes it feel like you aren’t even posing and just reacting to my prompts. This helps with the flow of your body and hands as well as your facial expressions because they are genuine reactions.
Come ready for fun
I will start off the session by forgetting my lens cap is on and wondering why I can’t see you or thinking that my camera is broke because I didn’t even turn it on. I’ll proceed with showing you the poses and getting a massive foot cramp from “point those shoes,” I’ll shake it off and then it’s your turn. Hope you did your homework from the prep guide! (Hint: stretching your body and feet were in there) We dance, we smile, we wiggle and giggle!
Trust in me
I do not photograph professional models, I photograph real people who are nervous, who have never done this before, who don’t know how to pose or what to do with their hands… DON’T STRESS ABOUT IT! That’s my job. I will guide you every step of the way. You aren’t the only one that will be on your knees! Hahahaha and yes I may unintentionally make a few jokes and when it clicks in my head, I’ll bust out laughing. By that I meant, I will physically be showing you each pose, guiding you with your emotion, and hand movements to create a natural flow and to let your true beauty shine! In all seriousness though, this is my passion, this is my career, this is what I do on a day to day, what I’ve studied, and what gets me excited! Capturing your beauty and seeing your smile when you see the back of the camera makes my day! (Yes ma’am! That is you, with no edits, just the back of the camera!) Now just wait for the final edits, prints, and products, imagine how amazing that is going to be!
